SUBJECT TRACKING CAMERA DEVICE

PURPOSE:To freely alter a tracking target in the middle of photographing by detecting a moving vector in a motion detection area which is set and controlling the direction of a lens-barrel so that the moving vector becomes zero. CONSTITUTION:A motion detection area setting means 21 displays the area in a view finder 23 and sets the motion detection area of a moving vector detection means 17. It detects the moving vector of a picture in the moving vector detection area which is set. An actuator control circuit 18 controlling the direction of the lens-barrel controls the direction of the lens-barrel so that the detected moving vector becomes zero. Thus, the tracking target can easily be set and operability can be improved.
