RADIO COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To attain the reduction of power consumption in an intermittent receiving state by supplying the output of a second oscillator whose frequency is lower than a reference oscillator to the counting means of low order, and simultaneously, turning the counting means of high order and the reference oscillator into a non-operating state at the time of non-communication. CONSTITUTION:The output of the reference oscillator 26 of system clock frequency fck is supplied to a high-speed counter 31, and is supplied to the clock terminal of a low-speed counter 32 through the a-side contact and the movable contact of a change-over switch 33. The output of a second reference oscillator 34 of low frequency flo is supplied to the i-side contact of the switch 33. In the idle period of an intermittent reception mode, the movable contacts of the change-over switches 33,35 are connected to the i-side contacts, and the first reference oscillator 26 and the high-speed counter 31 are turned into the non-operating state, and simultaneously, the second reference oscillator 34 of low power consumption is turned into an operating state, and information is held for a tentative period. Thus, the power consumption in the intermittent receiving state can be reduced.
