CONTACT STRUCTURE

PURPOSE:To absorb the impact of a moving contact by springing out a weight and reduce the contact bounce by providing a weight movable in the direction of a moving contact in contact with the opposite side of the movable contact of a fixed contact. CONSTITUTION:When energized, a coil 16 attracts a plunger 18 and a movable frame 19 to compress a bias spring 20. A movable contact 21 is pressed against a stopper 26 in the frame 19 by a contacting and pressing spring 22, and a weight 24 being pressed against a fixed contact 23 by a supporting spring 25. Next, when the energization of the coil 16 being turned off, the plunger 18 and the frame 19 travel in the right direction so that the contact 21 is pushed by the contact 23, and the contacting and pressing spring 22 is compressed to generate the contacting pressure at the contact. And, the weight 24 is sprung out in the right direction by the energy, generated by the contact collision, so that the impact on the contact 21 is absorbed. Consequently, the contact bounce can be reduced to improve the contact reliability.
