Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To clean a membrane module even in the inside effectively by supplying a detergent in the insides of a plurality of tubular membranes set in a membrane module and passing the detergent from the insides to the outside of the tubular membranes. CONSTITUTION:An immersion-type membrane module 13 which is immersed in a microbe tank or a membrane separation tank or in a chemical liquid cleaning tank 11 after being taken out of the previously mentioned tank is cleaned with a chemical liquid cleaning liquid 12. At that time, the cleaning liquid 12 is supplied to the insides of a plurality of tubular membranes 16 set in the membrane module 13 and the cleaning liquid is led from the insides to the outsides of the tubular membranes 16. that is, the cleaning liquid passes in the reverse direction to the flow of a permeable liquid, so that matters 17 adhering to the surfaces of the tubular membranes 16 are removed by the flow of the cleaning liquid 12.
