LICENSE PLATE HOLDING MEANS

PURPOSE:To heighten fitting work performance by providing a storage case for storing fastening means such as a nut, on the back face of a garnish body fitted to an automobile body, and forming the opening of this storage case in such a way as to be closable with a lid member. CONSTITUTION:Through holes 4 for inserting large diameter bolts 3 for fixing a garnish body 1 to an automobile body 2 are provided on both upper lateral sides of the surface of the garnish body 1. A square box like nut case 6 is integrally formed in a position close to the bolt through hole 4 on the back face side of the garnish body 1. A plate 7 serving as a lid member is closably provided at one side part of the case 6. After enclosing a nut 10 into the storage part 6c, for instance, of the nut case 6, the plate 7 is closed and locked by engaging the claw 6b of the nut case 6 with the slotted hole 7b of the plate 7. In this state, a bolt is screwed with the nut 10 to fix a license plate fitting plate 16 positively to the garnish body 1.
