CODE READER

PURPOSE:To always surely detect a detection bar by setting a sensor at a detection bar detecting position by traveling for initialization time when a code is read from a card. CONSTITUTION:A time required for the travel of the sensor 40 in a scanning period to read the code on the card is detected, and detected time is divided by a prescribed constant, and the initialization time can be calculated. The prescribed constant is decided corresponding to the detection bar detecting position to be set on the card, and the detection bar detecting position when the sensor 40 is traveled for the initialization time always confronts with a detection bar with respect to the travel direction of the card. Therefore, when the card is fed after the sensor 40 is set at the detection bar detecting position, the sensor 40 surely detects the detection bar. In such a way, it is possible to surely detect the detection bar attached on each bar code.
