Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve the quality and the yield of a cast billet by inserting an annular gasket between an upstream mold and downstream mold and supplying pressurized gas soluble to cast metal into inside of the annular gasket. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal continuous casting apparatus is constituted by communicating a tundish with the mold through a nozzle 13 and connecting plural water cooling molds along the direction of drawing cast billet C. Then, the annular gasket 33 is inserted between the upstream side mold 19 and the downstream side mold 21 so as to surround the cast billet C. The pressurized gas soluble to the cast metal is supplied to inside of the annular gasket 33 from an introducing pipe 37. By this method, flaw removal work can be saved.
