DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT

PURPOSE:To easily understand specifications for system development by interpreting the described contents of a uniformly written formal specification while giving view point elements, extracting only necessary information in each viewpoint and expressing the extracted information by the a graphical specification. CONSTITUTION:A processing part 2 receives the formal specification specified from a formal specification storing part 4, adds a viewpoint element indicating the status of the inside of a viewpoint element storing part 3, interpreting the specification, converts the data of the formal specification into the internal expression data of the graphic specification, and stores the converted data in a graphic specification internal expression data storing part 5. A state required to be observed by a user is specified through an interface part 1 and the processing part 2 receives the specification and obtains the concrete value (a certain state) of the viewpoint information. The graphic specification of each state consisting of an external interface, an object and an effective message is displayed on a CRT 7 based upon the graphic specification internal expression data stored in the storing part 5 and the concrete value of the viewpoint element specified by the user. Consequently, the specifications for system development are easily understood.
