DETECTING DEVICE FOR MISSING OF CIRCUIT COMPONENT

PURPOSE:To enable the position of a missing component to be informed through visible light beams emitted from a pin head by a method wherein a table is arranged at a certain height above a circuit board, and when a circuit component is mounted under a pin, the pin is pushed up bearing against the circuit component concerned. CONSTITUTION:When a table is made to descend to a lower limit position, if circuit components 12-14 are mounted at the prescribed mounting positions S1-S3, pins P1-P3 are pushed up making their lower ends ride on the circuit components 12-14. The pinheads H1-H3 of the pins P1-P3 pushed up are located above a level where laser rays L are made to scan, so that the heads H1-H3 are not irradiated with the laser rays L, Therefore, these pinheads H1-H3 emit no light. On the other hand, if a circuit component is not mounted at a prescribed mounting position S4, the pin P4 located at the mounting position S4 is not pushed up, the pinhead H4 is kept bearing against the upside of the table 3. Therefore, the pinhead H4 is irradiated with the laser beams L and emits visible light.
