Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To produce in continuous process steps an elongate light, highly flexible and highly bendable wire member by providing an organic superconductor core at a position located inside a conductor sheath when producing an organic superconductive wire member having a core/sheath structure of organic superconductor core/conductor sheath. CONSTITUTION:A wire member which is expressed by the formula (BEDT- TTF)2Cu[N(CN)2] x (where X represents halogen atoms) is used for an organic superconductor. To produce the superconductor, after providing an organic doner molecule layer on a conductive base member, acceptor molecules or ions are doped on the resulting base member to thereby form an organic superconductive layer on the base member. Subsequently, the base member is made linear so that the base member may become a sheath and that the superconductor may become a core. Thereafter, the linear member thus obtained is extended. In this case, a conductive high polymer such as polyacetylene, bis(ethylene dithio) tetra (BEDT-TTE) or the like, and I, IBr or the like are used for the base acceptor molecules or ions, respectively. These materials constituting the sheath 2 enclose the core 1.
