PICTURE PROCESSING METHOD

PURPOSE:To quickly obtain a desired picture by setting a specific area on a CRT based on a specific point designated on an original picture and subjecting this specific area to desired picture processing. CONSTITUTION:An original picture 44 is displayed on a CRT display device 20, and a mouse 24 is used to designate a specific point 46 in the center of an area, which should be subjected to desired picture processing, on the original picture 44. The diameter of a circle having the specific point 46 as the center is adjusted by the mouse 24 to set a specific area 50 surrounded with the circle 48. In this case, the specific area on the original picture 44 should be subjected to area on the original picture 44 should be subjected to desired picture processing and is arbitrarily adjusted by the mouse 24. Thus, a desired picture processing range is easily set.
