OPTICAL DISK DEVICE ACCESS SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To directly access the specific record which conforms to a specific condition in a large capacity sequential organizing file of an optical disk device by providing a magnetic disk device which holds a record number management table being an indexed sequential organizing file. CONSTITUTION:By designating key information (for instance, customer code = 0003, date = 890215) for executing a retrieval, a record number management table of a magnetic disk device 2 is read out. Subsequently, the record number of an optical disk device 1 corresponding to its key information is referred to. Next, by using the record number (for instance, as for customer code = 0003, date = 890215, record number = 015) of its index result, the corresponding record of the device 1 is read out, a necessary processing to its record is executed, and the processing is shifted to the next. In such a way, a specific record which conforms to a specific condition can be accessed directly from a large capacity sequential organizing file of the device 1, therefore, the access time can be shortened remarkably.
