HIGH SPEED DUST COLLECTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce flow resistance as far as possible and decrease difference between water levels in front and in rear of a dust collecting device by providing an opening almost all over the surface of a lower beam of a screen frame and applying a sheet material having high water permeability to said opening. CONSTITUTION:A link chain 3x is actuated so that dust floating in flowing water is stopped by means of a screen body 14 and water-permeable bodies 50, 60. When a screen frame 4 rises up from the water, the dust itself falls down under gravity and received in a bucket 21 of a lower beam 17 of the frame 4. Next, an upper sprocket 1 is rotated to turn the bucket 21 upside down, so that the dust stored in the bucket is caused to slide over a guide rail 9 to be discharged into a trough 10 for recovery. As a result, even in a high speed dust collecting device, flow resistance due to the vertical motion of the screen frame 4 and difference between the water levels in front of and behind the device can be reduced.
