DIGITAL SIGNAL RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To securely record a received signal by connecting only a digital interface by providing selecting circuits, and reconverting a signal in analog mode into an analog signal by a D/A converter and then recording its digital signal again through an A/D converter. CONSTITUTION:When an audio signal 106a which is inputted from a terminal 107 and sent by the digital audio interface is in analog mode, a system control pat 115 performs control so that a selecting circuit C1 selects an input 1b and a selecting circuit A104 selects an input 104a. Therefore, the digital signal inputted from the terminal 107 is converted into the analog signal temporarily by the D/A converter 110 and outputted from a terminal 112 and this signal is passed through the selecting circuit C1 and reconverted into the digital signal through the A/D converter 103. The signal is passed through the selecting circuit A104 and recorded on a tape through a recording signal processing circuit 105. Consequently, even a signal in digital mode can be recorded without connecting another analog cable.
