PREPARATION OF SMC SHEET

PURPOSE:To prevent the reduction of the thickness of an SMC sheet due to its own wt. on the side of a winding core and to suppress the irregularity of the unit wt. of the sheet by aging the roll of the SMC sheet on both sides of the winding core and outer periphery thereof in an almost same state prior to the final aging due to an aging oven. CONSTITUTION:A lower carrier film 3 is supplied from the first film supply roll 2 and a resin filler paste and a reinforcing filler 6 are supplied to the upper surface of the film. A resin filler paste 11 is supplied to the upper surface of the upper carrier film 9 supplied from the second film supply roll 8 and the upper carrier film 9 is superposed on the lower carrier film 3 and the resin filler pastes 5, 11 and reinforcing filler 6 held between the upper and lower carrier films 9, 3 are pressed by an impregnating means and controlled in temp. by the first temp. control means 16 wherein temp. control rolls 16a-16f controlled to the same temp. as aging temp. are arranged to be taken up by a taking-up roll 18 and the taking-up roll 18 is introduced into an aging oven to perform final aging.
