MAGNETIC STORAGE DEVICE

PURPOSE:To miniaturize the device and reduce thickness by using two flexible disks, sharing a motor which rotates these flexible disks, and sharing two of the four magnetic heads which were necessary. CONSTITUTION:A rotation is given to two flexible disks 2 by a motor 1 fixed on a chassis 2. Each flexible disk 3 is each directly connected to the motor 1 by a disk holder 4, and the two disk holders 4 each operate independently. A magnetic head 5 is arranged between the two flexible disks 3, is equipped with a magnetic data read-out pat 9 on both surfaces, and is pushed to the arbitrary flexible disk 3 by a drive selector 8 which moves it up or down by a drive selection signal inputted from the outside. And the red-out of the two surface which cannot be read by the magnetic head 5 of the two flexible disks 3 is executed by two magnetic heads 6. Thus, miniaturization and the reduction of thickness can be executed.
