POLISHING METHOD FOR SHEET FACE OF AUTO-TIGHTENING TYPE CLAMP TYPE PIPE JOINT AND DEVICE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To shorten a polishing time and to make a finishing face uniform, by sticking a polishing material to a specific taper face, fitting it to the taper sheet face of a hub, pressing while holding the coaxial, and performing the polishing of the taper sheet face of the hub with its rotation at the specified speed. CONSTITUTION:An abrasive is sticked to the taper face of a truncated conical polishing rotary body 8 having the taper face of a large taper length and the taper sheet face 4 of a hub 1 and the inclination are equal. This is then engaged with the taper sheet face 4 of the hub 1, pressed while holding the co-axial and also rotated at the specified speed, then the polishing of the taper sheet face 4 of the hub 1 is performed. Namely a so-called mechanical polishing method of rotating positively a polishing rotating body 8 while pressing it to the taper sheet face 4 of the hub 1, is made as requirement. Consequently the polishing speed can be increased very much and the necessary polishing time can be shortened drastically.
