METHOD AND DEVICE FOR GRINDING AND SHAPING ELECTRODE OF RESISTANCE WELDING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To rapidly dress a pair of electrode rods with decreased wear of respective blades by simultaneously grinding and. shaping the horizontal end faces at the front ends of a pair of the electrode rods and the tapered side faces around these end faces by the different rotary grinding blades. CONSTITUTION:The side face grinding blades 12 having the center of rotation on the axial center line of the bar-shaped electrodes W and the end face grinding blade 11 having the center of rotation in the position offset by a width (t) from the axial center line of the electrodes W are simultaneously rotated in the same direction. The horizontal end faces Wa of a pair of the electrode rods W are simultaneously and rapidly ground and shaped by the end face grinding blade 11 and the tapered side faces Wb by the side face grinding blades 12.
