TONER RECOVERY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain the toner recovery device which is compact in the radius direction of a spiral case by providing a spiral slidably in its axial direction and sliding a member according to the motion of the spiral. CONSTITUTION:A fur brush 18 rotates associatively with the rotation of a photosensitive drum 22 and residual toner in the drum 22 is shaken down into an internal casing 11. At the same time, the spiral 3 is driven and rotated to convey toner stored in the casing 11 toward a toner discharge opening 4. At this time, a front cover 6 is closed and a lid member 5 opens the toner discharge opening 4, so the toner is collected in a recovery box 15 from the discharge opening j4. When the drum 22 is replaced, the cover 6 is opened and then a shaft 7 is released from being pushed by a push projection part 12, so that the spiral 3 slides toward the front side of the device. The lid member 5 also slides in the same direction correspondingly to close the discharge opening 4. Therefore, the toner neither leaks nor scatters from the discharge opening 4.
