MANUFACTURE OF POLYMER TONER

PURPOSE:To easily obtain the polymer toner superior in offset preventing effect by properly selecting a combination of a releasing agent and a polymerizable monomer and heating them to form a solution or colloidal dispersion and performing polymerization in this state. CONSTITUTION:The releasing agent together with the polymerizable monomer at least capable of dissolving this agent are heated and mixed under conditions substantially not advancing polymerization to form a solution or a colloidal dispersion and to maintain the releasing agent in a solution or dispersion even at the time of initiating the polymerization, and the kind, amount, and heating and mixing conditions of the agent, and handlings of the agent after the initiation of polymerization are properly and prudently selected so as to maintain such conditions, thus permitting the polymer toner superior in the offset preventing effect to be manufactured in an industrial advantageous process.
