PICTURE TRANSMITTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the handling utility of a graphic data by converting a part at the outside of the graphic data and in a range of a prescribed original size into a white level data and sending the graphic data as a picture data of a prescribed size able to be sent by a facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a graphic data is inputted via an input device 7, a picture transmitting device 1 at a sender side transfers a picture data to which '0' being a white level data is added to a part at the outside of the picture data size of the input graphic data and in a range of a picture data size for facsimile communication in the main scanning direction and the subscanning direction to an encoding/decoding section 9, which encodes the resulting picture data according to a prescribed coding system and stores the result to a memory 3. Thus, the graphic data generated by a graphic generator for a computer or the like is sent to a facsimile equipment. Thus, the handling utility of the graphic data is improved.
