Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a new preservative of freshness of cut flowers for preventing wilting of petals and stems and leaves of cut flowers after harvesting, such as flowering plants and maintaining flower colors and leaf colors for long hours, comprising a specific azole-substituted cyclopentanol derivative as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A preservative of freshness of cut flowers comprising an azole- substituted cyclopentanol derivative shown by the formula (A is N or CH; R and R are H or 1-3C alkyl; X is H or halogen) as an active ingredient. The preservative is used for maintaining freshness of cut flowers. The preservative prevents wilting and yellowing of leaves of various kinds of cut flowers and wilting of petals and has excellent freshness retaining effects. Therefore, the preservative maintains various kinds of cut flowers in a fresh state for a long period of time stably, favorably grows stems, leaves, buds, flowers, etc., and flowers buds.
