FACSIMILE EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To execute polling communication again from a page on which a communication error takes place by sending a polling reception start page for retransmission to a called party at the restart of polling reception so as to interrupt the line once and redialing the called party. CONSTITUTION:When a communication error or the like rakes place during polling reception and a polling transmission page is designated in the polling transmission after the communication error, a called party uses a transmission/ reception means 34 to start polling transmission from the designated page. When a communication error or the like takes place in a caller side, a polling reception start page is indicated from page information of a count means counting a reception page and the caller sends the polling reception start page for retransmission to the called party at the restart of polling reception. The start page for polling transmission is commanded to the called party receiving the page information. Thus, the line is once interrupted when a communication error takes place and then the communication line is connected again.
