ANTIBACTERIAL AGENT-CONTAINING WOUND COATING MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE:To accelerate the healing of a wound part by consisting the above material of a base layer consisting of the thin film of a highly hydrous gel formable material which is coated with a water-repellent material and has bio-compatibility and a moisture permeation control layer and incorporating an antibacterial agent into either layer of the base layer and the moisture permeation control layer. CONSTITUTION:This material consists of the base layer 3 consisting of the thin film of the highly hydrous gel formable material in contact with the wound part and the moisture permeation control layer 4 and has the antibacterial agent in any one layer thereof. The highly hydrous gel formable material is preferably in the form of a nonwoven fabric, woven fabric, knit fabric, porous film or bead in order to prevent the taking into a living body or decomposition. Further, this material is preferably coated with the water-repellent material 2. The water absorbing property of the highly hydrous gel formable material is preferably 50 to 50Owt.% in consideration for the moisture holdability of the wound part. Further, the antibacterial agent is impregnated into the base layer 3 which gradually releases the drug to kill the bacteria infected to the wound part and the bacteria existing at all times on the human skin. The healing of the wound part is accelerated in this way.
