Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To enable stable storage of alloy powder contg. rare earth metals over a long period of time by press-molding the alloy powder into a green compact having a specified density ratio (apparent density/true density). CONSTITUTION:Alloy powder contg. rare earth metals such as Nd, Dy, Sm, Y, La and Ce and having such an average particle size as to enable passing through about 12 mesh (Tyler process) is press-molded into a green compact having 0.28-0.40 density ratio (apparent density/true density). This press molding is preferably carried out in an atmosphere of an inert gas such as argon or nitrogen or in vacuum so as to prevent deterioration such as oxidation during molding. |
