CONSTITUTION: In this compressed-air generator 8, a rotary knob 45 for adjusting pressure output and/or air throughput is set up in a top side 27 of a housing 11. A protective sleeve 46 as a protective apparatus 47 to cover the rotary knob at least locally is installed there. This configuration reduces a risk of an impact or contact of another body with the rotary knob 45 in time of conveyance of the compressed-air generator 8.
