Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To shorten the equipment changing time required in the transition from one workpiece to the next one by driving a drive via a removable energy- coupling means when a tool magazine is on a rack and on a travelling support as well. CONSTITUTION: A magazine drive 22 is used for transferring tool holders along an endless orbit in a tool magazine 20 such that a given tool holder is moved to its pickup position or mounting position within the tool magazine 20. This system helps the sequential preparation of specified tool holders for tool change while the tool magazine 20 is locked on a travelling support 13, in which the magazine drive 22 is used for the equipment change of the tool magazine 20 even while the tool magazine 20 is on a rack 24.
