PACKET TRANSFER SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To transfer a line exchange call and a packet call to a master station exchange through a common link by providing a means multiplexing a line exchange call and a packet call on a digital multiplex link to a remote control exchange. CONSTITUTION:A voice call from a telephone terminal equipment 1a is connected to a terminal of an opposite party in the case of an extension call via a line exchange 4 of a remote control exchange 3 and connected to a master exchange 9 via a link controller 5 and a digital multiplex link group 19 in the case of an outgoing connection call. On the other hand, a packet terminal 2a connects to the packet exchange 6 to apply extension connection and outgoing connection. In this case, the packet exchange 6 has a packet multiplex function to apply packet multiplex onto a packet call sent from a subscriber of the remote control exchange 3 and sends the result to the master exchange 9. A call processing unit 7 assigns a required number of links to the packet call depending on the traffic of the packet call.
