Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve floating state and wearing resistance of a head and to reduce friction and adsorptivity by reducing coarseness for the most external surface of a magnetic disk in comparison with the surface coarseness of texture work executed to a substrate surface or a base board surface. CONSTITUTION:The degree of the coarseness for the texture work, which is executed onto a substrate surface 1 or a base film 2, is made sufficient for applying magnetic anisotropy and on the surface where this texture work is executed, a magnetic film 4 and the other various films are formed. Afterwards, the most external surface of the magnetic disk is ground up to the fixed coarseness. In such a way, the condition of the texture coarseness for improving the magnetic properties is made different from the coarseness condition for the most external surface of the magnetic disk to obtain the optimum property while considering the adsorptivity and properties such as head crash or surface wearing, etc., and normally, the latter coarseness condition is made smaller than the former coarseness condition. Thus, a satisfactory magnetic recording and reproducing property can be obtained and the sticking of the magnetic head is prevented. Then, the wearing of the surface, the destruction of a lubricant film, head crash and the increase of a wearing coefficient can be prevented.
