MEDICAL BUSINESS SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the business processing efficiency by switching a mode where the patient data is processed by a host computer having a fault to a mode where the patient data is processed by a self-supporting work station. CONSTITUTION:When a fault occurs at the file devices 7a and 7b or a CPU 3, etc., of a work station of a central process system, a CPU 13 displays the occurrence of the fault at a display terminal part 19. Then an operator has an instruction to switch the operation to a self-supporting mode via the part 19. Thus the CPU 13 switches a self-supporting work station to a self-supporting mode. Then the CPU 13 processes the patient information on the medical diagnostic data inputted from the part 19 while the patient information is registered in a patient master of a file device 17 by reference to an account process program stored in a main storage 15 and the patient master, etc. This processing result is registered to the medical diagnostic data of the device 17 and also outputted to the part 19 and a printer 21.
