Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To reform an outer terminal quickly and accurately by a method wherein rotary shafts on which wedge-shaped protrusions are properly provided are provided on and under the tip part of a lead and the deformation of the lead is forcibly displaced. CONSTITUTION:Rotary shafts 6 and 7 on which wedge-shaped protrusions 4 and 5 are alternately provided with certain interval are provided on and under the gull-wing type lead 2 of an IC 1. If the shafts 6 and 7 are rotated while the sides of the protrusions 4 and 5 are brought into contact with the lead 2, the deformation of the lead is forcibly displaced, so that the lead can be reformed quickly and accurately in one process.
