Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of printing quality for succeeding transfer images by controlling so that the same electric effect may be given to a photoconductor both in the case a transfer material sheet remains in a transfer station between the photoconductor and the transfer station and in the case such a sheet does not exist between the photoconductor and the transfer station. CONSTITUTION: When a toner image on a drum 10 moves to the transfer station 17, the paper sheet is fed from a sheet source and a feeding mechanism 18 at the same speed as the processing speed of the drum 10. In the case the same electric effect is not generated on the entire area of the photoconductor used to carry the next latent image/toner image, the photoconductor is unevenly electrified in a band station 12. Therefore, a signal from a sensor 21 becomes control input to a control means 22, whereby the control means 22 controls the station 17 in accordance with the input so that the same electric effect may by generated on the photoreceptive surface of the drum 10 whenever the paper sheet may exist between the station 17 and the surface of the drum 10 adjacent to the station 17 or not.
