PURPOSE:To quickly read out data connected with pointer data by adopting the chaining access structure of memory data. CONSTITUTION:The chaining access structure is given to memory cell data. Therefore, an external address signal indicating pointer data PDATA of the start to which goal data is connected is supplied to designate next pointer data PDATA by designated pointed data PDATA, and this operation is successively repeated internally to finally read out goal data GDATA to the outside. Consequently,goal data GDATA connected by pointed data PDATA is read out to the outside by one memory read cycle. Thus, data connected by pointer data are quickly read out.
