CATCH OF FIBER SPUN BY CENTRIFUGAL SPINNING AND EQUIPMENT THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject fiber using a simplified equipment capable of continuously catching and discharging a tow-shaped fiber bundle and having an excellent productivity by discharging and drawing a molten raw material through nozzle holes and subsequently catching the resultant drawn fibers by a group of blades set in a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:A molten raw material such as petroleum-based pitch is supplied from the upper part of a rotor 1 through a through hole (e) to a storage chamber 1b, discharged through discharge nozzle holes 1c using a centrifugal force and conveyed to the periphery part using an air flow from a conveying nozzle 2. A group of blades 4 are placed at an area satisfying formula I (L is distance between blades facing each other across the center of rotation of rotor; 195 is 95% value of length distribution of single yarn) and formula II (LN is outer diameter of rotor) of the periphery part to catch a fiber bundle and a gas is blown to the fiber bundle using plural blow nozzles 6 alternately in order to discharge the fiber bundle out of the catching system. Thereby, the objective fiber is obtained.
