USE:A raw material for producing pharmaceuticals, pesticides, etc.; for example, a raw material for 2,3,4-trifluoroaniline useful as an intermediate for pharmaceuticals, esp. quinolone-based bactericides. PREPARATION:The objective 2,3,4-trifluoro-5-chloronitrobenzene can be obtained by reaction between 1,3-dinitro-2,4,5-trichlorobenzene or 1,3-dinitro-2,4-difluoro-5- chlorobenzene and potassium fluoride.
