COMPOSITION FOR ORAL CAVITY

PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for oral cavity containing glycoside selected from thymol glycoside, cis-3-hexenol glycoside and methyl salicylate glycoside and useful for dentifrice, etc., and capable of controlling development of flavor and persistent acting property. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition containing one or two or more glycosides selected from the compounds expressed by formula I (R is residue of monosaccharides and disaccharides), formula II (R is same as R ) and formula III (R is same as R ). In each glycoside, R to R are each residue of monosaccharide such as glucose, galactose or mannose, disaccharides such as maltose or lactose. One glycoside or two or more kind of glycosides may be blended as the above-mentioned glycoside blended in the composition and the blend is preferably used at a weight ratio of normally 0.05-5%, especially 0.1-2% based on total composition.
