EXTENDER FOR EXCAVATOR

PURPOSE:To permit the excavating drum of the tip to be exchanged according to excavating conditions by a method in which a prime mover is attached to an excavating boom and an excavating drum is attached to a reduction gear set slidably between a support cylinder on the tip and a slide cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A prime mover 3 is attached to the excavating boom 1 of an excavator, a support cylinder 4 is attached to the tip, an oil-pressure cylinder 6 is set between the cylinder 4 and a slide cylinder 5 fitted with the cylinder 4, where the slide cylinder 5 is attachedsslidably. An excavating drum 8 is attached to a reduction gear 7 on the tip of the cylinder 5, so that torque is increased with reduction to transmit strong excavating force. According to excavating conditions, the excavating drum 8 on the tip is exchanged. Strong torque enough to excavate hard rockbed, etc., can thus be given to the drum 8 even in either of single or twin-type.
