Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To accomplish a cable connection part having good characteristic by relieving the local pressure applied from a shape holding metal piece to a molded insulator with a heat resistant protection layer on the periphery of the metal piece without impairing a heat resistant supporting layer covering the molded insulator. CONSTITUTION:After connection of the conductor 13 of an insulated cable 12 through a sleeve, a bridgeable polyorefin resin type to which peroxide for bridging is added is wound on the connection part 14 in such a way as striding over the insulator 15 on both sides, and a molded insulator 16 in the form of a spinning spindle is formed. Striding over the insulator 15 a thermo-contracting tube made of Si resin is put on this molded insulator 16, followed by shrinking to accomplish a heat resistant supporting layer, and thereon a shape holding metal piece 18 is put. This metal piece 18 is in a structure in which a thermo-contracting tube 20 is fitted on a small split plate 19 made of metal, which is free from fear of damaging the heat resistant supporting layer 17 likely to be caused by the metal piece 18 in pressing or contacting, and the pressing force is mitigated by the tube 20. The connection part is put in a kiln 22, and a heater 21 is actuated in N2 atmosphere with a certain pressure to cause bridging of the molded insulator 16, and thus a good cable connection part is obtained.
