LOOP CAR DEVICE

PURPOSE:To realize large storage capacity for a thick or thin strip by making the strip surruond a large-diametral virtual roll which is formed with the 1st and 2nd groups of small diametral rolls, running a loop car in the case of a thick strip, making the strip surround the 3rd roll and non-retreating small diametral rolls and running the loop car in the case of a thin strip. CONSTITUTION:The loop car 13 is run in the direction where the storage of the strip 11 is made to increase or decrease. In the case that a relatively thick strip 11 is stored, the large-diametral virtual roll is formed with the 1st and 2nd groups 17, 18 of small diametral rolls which are provided on the loop car 13. The strip is made to surround the large-diametral virtual roll and the loop car 13 is run. In the case that a relatively thin strip 11 is stored, the 3rd roll 25 is set on a supporting rack 26 and the strip 11 is made to surround that roll and non-retreating rolls 17A, 18A of the 1st and 2nd group of small diame tral rolls and the loop car 13 is run. By this way, the strip can be stored in a small space.
