Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To obtain gel of an org. liq. without requiring heating by neutralizing polysaccharide with a specified amine and/or a specified quat. ammonium salt and carrying out gelation. CONSTITUTION:Alginic acid, pectin or azotobacter vinelandii gum is neutralized with an amine represented by formula I (where each of R1-R3 is H, etc., and the total number of C atoms contained in R1-R3 is 6-36) and/or a quat. ammonium salt represented by formula II (where each of R4-R7 is H, etc., or R4-R6 form a pyridinium ring, etc., together with N to which they bond and R7 is alkyl, etc., the total number of C atoms contained in R4-R7 is 8-48 and X is a halogen or acid anion). The resulting substance is added to an org. medium which is liq. at ordinary temp. and they are mixed and converted into gel with ions of a multivalent metal. Gel of an org. liq. can be obtd. without requiring heating. |
