OVERHEAD POWER TRANSMISSION LINE

PURPOSE:To obtain a light-weight transmission line, to reduce coefficient of thermal expansion, and to prevent reduction in tension and flexibility of the overhead line by forming an aluminium carbonized silicon complex wire for which aluminium or aluminium alloy and carbonized silicon fiber are mixed together by a predetermined volume complexity, as a part or a whole part of a conductor. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum carbonized silicon complex wire 1 is formed out of a matrix 1b of aluminium or aluminium alloy, to which long fibers 1a, 1a of carbonized silicon are mixed and integrated into it so as to prepare a complex line. A volume complexity of the carbonized silicon fiber is determined as 15-75%. An aluminium coating complex wire for which an aluminium tape or an aluminium pipe is coated by 0.5mm or more around the periphery of the aluminium carbonized silicon complex wire, forming a part or a whole part thereof. By coating the aluminium carbonized silicon complex material around the periphery of a steel line, an aluminium carbonized silicon complex material coating steel line is prepared, which forms a part or a whole part of a conductor.
