Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To improve inverter efficiency by utilizing vibrating function of a snubber capacitor and a reactor and recovering energy stored in the snubber capacitor through rectifying function of a diode. CONSTITUTION:When semiconductor elements 1-4 are turned OFF, energy stored in snubber capacitors 11, 12 are recovered effectively to a DC power source 16 by means of reactors 18, 19 and diodes 20, 21. When a switching element 1 is turned off, for example, charges in the snubber capacitor 11 are discharged in the form of vibrating current mainly defined by the reactor 18 and the snubber capacitor 11. At this time, iSR flows unilaterally through the diode 20 as shown by the slanted sections. Since loss of the snubber circuit is mainly caused by the forward voltage drop of recovery diode and no resistor is required, loss can be reduced.
