SELECTIVE INFORMATION INPUT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the erroneous read rate and to easily and surely perform the correction processing by setting a selective character and a correction character and inputting selective information generated with them from an optical character reader. CONSTITUTION:Selective character '/' or '/' and correction character 'X'are preliminarily set to an optical character reader 2. Selective information on an input form 1 is read in and is inputted as input data to a preprocessing part 4. A correction processing part 5 compares the selective character and the correction character with characters in input data and regards the correction character as a space to perform the processing and generates and sends corrected data to a postprocessing part 6. The postprocessing part 6 outputs this sent corrected data to an external storage device 3. Thus, trouble to com pletely erase characters with a rubber eraser for the purpose of correcting them or erroneous read for incomplete erasing or soiling due to the rubber eraser is prevented.
