INTELLIGENT HEAD END FOR BROAD BAND MULTI-CHANNEL LAN

PURPOSE:To attain data communication between terminal equipments connecting to a different channel by demodulating the reception data of an incoming channel pool, decoding a transmission destination address, modulating the received data and sending the result to the outgoing channel of a frequency band accordingly. CONSTITUTION:Analog signals of incoming channels ch1-ch5 received through a coaxial cable CL are demodulated by demodulation circuits 21-25 of each relevant channel via a directivity filter DF, a destination address is decoded and the table of a ROM 51 is retrieved from the decoded destination address and a relevant transmission frequency is decided. Then a carrier frequency data is set to one of PLL circuits 61-65 corresponding to the incoming channel receiving the transmission data via an interface 53 and this program is finished. Thus, the communication is freely implemented even between terminal equipments connecting to a different channel.
