MAGNETIC RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To confirm the frequency of a tape usage and to prevent the fault of a device due to the tape deterioration by automatically recording the times reproduced in the control signal area located on a tape in the device having the function repeatedly reproducing the specific part of the tape. CONSTITUTION:The counting values of the start point and finish point of a repeated reproduction are set on a counter data memory 6 from the start/finish points, first, to make a video tape recorder in a reproducing state, then it becomes in a repeated reproducing state between the start point and finish point. The times reproduced by a control head 1 via a VASS signal recording/ detecting circuit 2 are then recorded on the repeating part located on a video tape in every repeating time and also stored on a VASS data memory 3 and displayed on a display part 4. Consequently the tape usage frequency is confirmed and the fault of the device due to the tape deterioration can be prevented.
