INFORMATION RETRIEVAL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To allow plural retrieval persons to retrieve information simultaneously by starting the retrieval of different N sets of division video information synchronously with an external synchronizing signal and retrieving sequentially the N-division video information every time a time T/N elapses. CONSTITUTION:A video changeover device Q1 having a function of 6X6 matrix switch is selected synchronously with an external synchronizing signal so as to output a signal from a video information source Si as soon as a signal from a video information source S1 inputted to all output lines is finished. Upon the receipt of a control signal representing the request of retrieval of the video information source Si from an information retrieval person, a video distributer 1 selects a signal series receiving the video information source Si+1 fastest from signal series of output signal series and connects the series to the retrieval person.
