Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a separation membrane for pervaporation having high transmission coefficient and separation factor, by using a quaternary pyridinium group type anion exchange membrane obtained by copolymerizing acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile and vinyl pyridine. CONSTITUTION:An additive such as a polyvinyl chloride fine powder and a radical polymerization initiator such as bezoyl peroxide are added to a three- component monomer mixture consisting of vinyl pyridine such as 4-vinyl pyridine, a nitrile compound such as acrylonitrile and a crosslinking agent such as divinyl benzene to prepare a pasty liquid composition which is, in turn, applied to a support such as cloth to perform polymerization. In this case, the ratio of the nitrile compound in the resin obtained by polymerization is set to 2-30wt%. Then, the obtained membrane like substance is quaternized by a methyl iodide solution to form a quaternary pyridinium group. A liquid mixture such as isopropanol/water is separated by the obtained separation membrane according to a pervaporation method.
