TABLEWARE

PURPOSE:To apply beautiful patterns difficult to detach and to improve cleanliness by forming a impregnated carrier layer made of fluoric resin dispersion liquid on the base of tableware formed by injection molding thermoplastic resin including a filler and by applying a pattern with a decalcomania of sublimated ink. CONSTITUTION:On the base of tableware 1 obtained by injection molding thermoplastic resin in which a filler is mixed, an impregnated carrier layer 2 made of fluoric dispersion liquid is formed. A filler with the specific gravity of 3 or more, particularly 4 or more, for example barium sulfate with the specific gravity of 4.5 or titanium oxide with the specific gravity of 4.6 is suitable. The method of impregnating the base 1 of tableware in fluoric resin dispersion liquid and contacting the base 1 and the liquid in order to form an impregnated layer 2 is suitable. In some cases, such means as coating and spray is adopted. In decalcomania using sublimated ink a transcription sheet on which characters, figures, symbols and patterns are printed is used. Decalcomania can be attained by overlapping the pattern printed side of the transcription sheet with the surface of the tableware base having the impregnated carrier layer 2 and then by heating and applying pressure.
