KANA/KANJI CONVERTING MECHANISM

PURPOSE:To lighten inputting load by omitting the input of reading KANA (Japanese syllabary) by storing a KANA character string inputted in order to execute KANA-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion in a buffer register when the input of KANJI and its reading KANA are required. CONSTITUTION:When the KANA character string is inputted from a character keyboard 10 after pressing down the KANJI key 11B of an input part 1, the inputted KANA character string is stored successively in the buffer register 4 under the control of an input control part 2, and simultaneously, screen display data is written in a screen buffer memory 6 by a screen control part 5, and a display part 7 displays the contents of the screen buffer memory 6. Then, after a KANA-inputted character is converted into KANJI by a KANA-KANJI converting part 3, the second input of its reading KANA can be omitted by pressing down a reading KANA key 11D. Thus, it is unnecessary to input the same contents twice, and working efficiency is improved.
