Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To ensure the repeatability of mechanical position by providing a platen roller part consisting of two parts such as capstan pulley and platen pulley and allowing a rubber-like elastic material on a pulley belt and an ink film to hold a paper for transfer with another pair of transport belts permitted to hold the paper. CONSTITUTION:Paper for transfer 8 is fed by a paper feed capstan 7 until it is detected by a photosensor 17. Next, a thermal head 4 presses the ink film 13 to an endless belt 1 on a platen pulley 3 to commence printing. In addition, a capstan pulley 2 is synchronized to move the paper 8 in a subscan direction. In this case, a transport belt 14 for prevention of a positional misalignment synchronously rotates, pressing the endless belt 1 and transports the paper 8 to the left. If the first yellow color printing is completed as described, a winding roll 6 winds the paper 8 until a photosensor 11 detects a magenta color. After this, the thermal head 4 and a guide roller 12 again are pressed against the platen pulley 3, then the capstan pulley 2, synchronized with the platen pulley 3, winds back the paper 8 and the ink film 13 to a next print start position. In this case, the roll 5 takes up the ink film wound back in synchronized mode.
